I thought of the United States as a mysterious country. It seemed so very different from the environment I was growing up in. A place, far away, where everything was larger than life.

This VR project blends Midcentury furniture aesthetics with the toys present for the many grandchildren to play with. Stories I made up as a child are mixed in too. This particular house has played a significant role in my art. It’s a starting point for interests I developed later in life: North American architecture, David Lynch movies, roadmovies and film noir, Thomas Pynchon novels, motels and desert style landscapes.
